In August 2018 there was a fantastic article in the NZ Herald about the Crafternoon Tea markets. This is my favourite market, and I’m so proud to be part of it. So far they are only in Auckland, and are monthly in Albany and Kingsland, and there are also pop up markets in Mt Albert and Grey Lynn.
I’ve had it on my to do list to add the article to my website for … about 9 months now. Better late than never I say!
Crafternoon Tea Artisan Craft Markets are a showcase for New Zealand makers by providing a venue for the public to connect with makers and support local businesses. It’s a great opportunity to meet the Artist/Craftspeople (including me!) behind the bespoke items and discover the story behind each piece. There is always good coffee and usually live music too – which give the markets such a relaxed vibe.
Our Kingsland market has been running for around 10 years and is held on the 3rd Saturday of every month except January. Our regular Albany market will is on the 1st Saturday of each month. Pop up markets will be added throughout the year.
If you love unique handmade items, and connecting with a rich source of creative people, then I highly recommend checking out one of the Crafternoon Tea Markets. And make sure you come and introduce yourself to me!
